Business Intelligence Architect
San Diego
SNEI is looking for a Business Intelligence Architect to join a growing
team in the Platform group.
Responsibilities:
As the Business Intelligence Architect, you'll work as a member of the
Business Intelligence team and be responsible for architecting and
implementing the vision and strategy for the tactical and strategic
reporting environment. Ensure that the IT architectural principles for
datawarehousing best practices are met in areas such as availability,
scalability, extensibility, and security.
Work with a team of architects, analysts and developers directly
responsible for the BI implementation. This position will provide
datawarehouse design integration ideas and prototypes for
cross-functional and cross-regional business intelligence solutions
(including olap, rolap, molap, holap as well as drill-through and
drill-across). Responsible for assessing business requests and
requirements to ensure the most efficient and effective architectural
solutions are designed and implemented. Responsible for creating
architectural diagrams, documents, topologies, tactical and strategic
reports templates, and for collaborating with development, project, and
business focused teams. Work closely with other DW/BI architects
on implementing the layers within the data architecture. In
addition, interact with all levels including the executive level.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a
related field
- 10 years experience in Business Intelligence
- Hands-on modeling and design experience using Cognos and/or
MicroStrategy
- Experience in presentation layer modeling techniques, specifically in
aggregation strategies and datawarehouse appliance physical modeling
- Expert in best practices for large scale enterprise data warehouses to
ensure global concepts are used with special attention to high
performing solutions that are repeatable, extensible, and supportable
Additional Attributes:
- Knowledge in Informatica a strong plus
- Experience in Agile Methodology (SCRUM) is a strong plus
- Ability to consult and transfer knowledge
- Ability to deal with changing priorities
- Ability to partner with and influence key stakeholders and architects
- Strong organizational skills (multi-tasking) and a self-motivator
