SUMMARY:
Assists school faculties by providing professional development support
during regularly scheduled school days on a weekly or biweekly basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
- Delivers professional development workshops
- Conduct in classroom teacher observations
- Provide post observation feedback
- Provide demonstrations as needed
- Coach teachers through the instructional modification process
- Partner with the principal to improve teacher performance
- Studies/practices workshop content prior to delivery
- Contacts the school one week before workshop to confirm the workshop
date.
- Sets up and breaks down workshop room and materials
- Encourages participation and open discussion
- Ensures all educator and parent development is completed successfully
- Reviews session evaluations to improve the quality of the
presentations
- Communicates actively with all directors regarding activities
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS Degree in Education or related field and at least 5 years
experience working with K-12 students in a school setting. The Catapult
Learning Coach/Presenter must have advanced training in curriculum and
instructional strategies, particularly in the area of adult learning.
Has experience delivering professional development workshops to adults.
Master's degree and teaching certification preferred. Excellent
communication skills are essential. References required.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school
settings.
